Who We Are

The Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations within the Office of Institutional Advancement at the University of Evansville works with all colleges and departments on campus to establish and build relationships with corporations and foundations which fall under the following categories:

  • private or independent foundations
  • family foundations
  • community foundations
  • corporate foundations
  • corporate giving programs

The Office performs the following activities:

  • Evaluates the feasibility of the initial program/proposal to be funded in terms of impact and relevance to private sector interests. Researches corporate and foundation (C&F) funding sources to identify most relevant prospects
  • Devises strategies for each C&F prospect, setting timeline, action steps, and terms of partnership with principle investigator (PI) or lead faculty member(s)
  • Cultivates relationships with C&F prospects via letters, calls, or personal visits to assess prospect's receptivity to institutional projects prior to submitting a proposal
  • Drafts letters of inquiry, preliminary and final proposals, cover letters, supporting documents, budgets, and required application forms to C&F prospects
  • Conducts follow-up calls, meetings, and additional correspondence with C&F prospects and PI and/or lead faculty member(s)
  • Plans and implements ongoing cultivation strategies including communication plans and C&F visits to campus
  • Facilitates stewardship of grants resulting from successful proposals, including preparation of grant reports.
